2024年3月10日，擦星星事务所及华语青年挺藏会的十余名成员，与数百位藏人一同聚集在旧金山市政厅前纪念西藏抗暴日的六十五周年。市政厅前，雪山狮子旗飘扬，阶梯上摆放着160名自焚藏人的遗像，台阶下聚满了了藏人和各族裔民主人权团体。因为当日参与抗议活动的成员大部分是女性，我们将标语写成了“华语女青年”。“华语女青年与藏人站在一起”、“反对中共殖民，还自由给图博”，我们的中英文标语在藏人中是独特且少见的。频频有藏人赞扬我们的勇气，并拍下我们的标语，分享给他们的家人和朋友。想必能得到作为“殖民者”的我们的支持，对于藏人来说也是拥有特殊的意义。
On March 10, 2024, more than ten members from the Star Shiner and the Chinese Youth Stand for Tibet, along with hundreds of Tibetans, gathered in front of San Francisco City Hall to commemorate the 65th anniversary of Tibetan Uprising Day. The snow lion flag fluttered in front of the City Hall, and on the steps were displayed the portraits of 160 self-immolated Tibetans, while beneath the steps, Tibetans and members of various ethnic democratic human rights groups gathered. As most of the participants in the protest that day were women, we wrote the banners as "Chinese Grils" "Chinese Female Youth Stand with Tibetans," and "CCP = Colonizer, Free Tibet" - our banners in both Chinese and English were unique and rare among Tibetans. Many Tibetans praised our courage and took photos of our banners to share with their families and friends. Undoubtedly, receiving support from us, who are seen as "colonizers," holds special significance for Tibetan communities.
在市政厅前听完各界藏人团体、青年和学生的发言后，我们与藏人一起踏上了走向中国领事馆的游行。一路上，我们同藏人一起挥舞旗帜，高喊口号：“停止在西藏的杀戮！中国立刻离开图博！大藏区需要宗教自由！语言自由！新闻自由！”在旧金山市警的协助下，车辆耐心地等待队伍的通过。两条队伍有序前进，时而收到路人的支持和赞扬，诠释着非暴力抗议的本质。
After listening to speeches from various Tibetan organizations, youth, and students in front of City Hall, we joined Tibetans in marching towards the Chinese Consulate. Along the way, we waved flags and chanted together: "Stop the killings in Tibet! China, leave Tibet now! Tibet needs religious freedom! Language freedom! Press freedom!" With the assistance of San Francisco police, vehicles patiently waited for the procession to pass. The two groups advanced orderly, occasionally receiving support and praise from bystanders, illustrating the essence of non-violent protest.
时至中午，游行队伍抵达了中国驻旧金山领事馆，并展开了近两个小时的抗议活动。在与藏人一同高喊振奋人心的口号以抗议中共的压迫和暴行后，各界人权团体纷纷上台发表演讲。华语青年挺藏会的发言人上台宣告我们“华语青年挺藏会”的理念和愿景，并呼吁所有中国人应该去理解并支持藏人的民族自决。“华语青年挺藏会是一个致力于传播图博大藏区被封禁的历史和现状的青年组织”，她呼吁道，“长期以来中共政府在互联网上压制藏人的声音，歪曲历史真相，抹黑藏人社会的传统生活方式。我们希望分享有关西藏的真相，并通过倡导呼吁华语青年觉醒，与藏人站在一起。”
By noon, the procession arrived at the Chinese Consulate in San Francisco and launched a protest activity that lasted nearly two hours. After joining Tibetans in shouting uplifting slogans to protest against the oppression and atrocities of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), representatives from various human rights groups took to the stage to deliver speeches. The spokesperson for the Chinese Youth Support Tibet Association stepped onto the stage to declare the ideals and vision of our association, urging all Chinese people to understand and support Tibetan self-determination. "The Chinese Youth Stand for Tibet is an action group dedicated to uncovering the truth of the history and current situation of Tibet," she declared. " For too long, the CCP has silenced the voices of Tibetans on the Chinese internet., distorted historical truths, and smeared traditional Tibetan lifestyle. We hope to share the truth about Tibet and awaken Chinese youth to stand with Tibetans."
在演讲台上，她还用中文激情澎湃地号召着中国同胞们：“中共政权是海内外藏人和每个中国老百姓共同的敌人，了解藏人苦难是我们的责任，因为他们的苦难也是我们过去的苦难，也会是我们的现在和未来的苦难! 追求图博大藏区的自由，也同样是追求我们的自由！ ”她充斥着力量的演讲得到了现场热烈的掌声和赞扬，演讲后，有很多藏人朋友亲切地与我们握手并感谢我们的勇气和支持。这就是我们做华语青年挺藏会的意义，作为中国的新一代青年，我们有责任去反思并抵抗中共政府对藏人和其他少数民族的殖民统治和强制同化政策。藏汉关系的修复、发展在于我们，民族关系的和解与转型正义的漫漫长路也在于我们，中国的民主化的道路也是我们的征程。我们需要让藏人知道，我们是与他们在一条战线上的！
On the podium, she passionately called out to fellow Chinese citizens in Mandarin: "The CCP regime is the common enemy of both Tibetans and Chinese citizens. To learn about the suffering of Tibetans is our duty because their suffering is also our past suffering and will be our suffering of today and tomorrow! To fight for the freedom of Great Tibet is to fight for our freedom!" Her powerful speech received enthusiastic applause and praise from the audience. After the speech, many Tibetan friends warmly shook our hands and thanked us for our courage and support. This is why we are involved in the Chinese Youth Stand for Tibet. As the new generation of Chinese youth, we have a responsibility to reflect on and resist the CCP's colonial rule and forced assimilation policies toward Tibetans and other ethnic minorities. The restoration and development of Tibetan-Han relations depend on us, as does the long road of reconciliation and transitional justice in ethnic relations, and the path to democratization in China. We need to let Tibetans know that we stand on the same front line with them!
纪念日的最后，在旧金山联合广场上，我们与藏人一起用烛光悼念为了自由而自焚而亡的藏人们。随着喇嘛庄严的祷告声，夜色渐渐降临，人们也陷入了对逝者深切的怀念中。为了民主自由而牺牲的生命是可敬的，但我们更希望不再有人因为中共的压迫而丧生。西藏不是中国的后花园，不是洗涤心灵的旅游景点，而是六百万藏人守护了上千年的家。我们反对大汉族主义，反对中共对大藏区的殖民，我们华语青年挺藏会，永远与藏人站在一起！
At the end of the day, at Union Square in San Francisco, we joined Tibetans in using candlelight to mourn the Tibetans who self-immolated for freedom. With the solemn prayers of the lamas, as night fell, people also fell into deep remembrance of the deceased. Sacrificing one's life for democracy and freedom is honorable, but we hope no one will perish again due to the oppression of the CCP. Tibet is not the backyard of China, nor is it a tourist attraction for spiritual cleansing; it is the home guarded by six million Tibetans for thousands of years. We oppose Han chauvinism, oppose the CCP's colonization of Greater Tibet. We, the Chinese Youth Stand for Tibet, will always stand with Tibetans!
