As a follower of Tibetan Buddhism, I deeply respect the Dalai Lama—as both teacher and king of the Dharma. Although I was not born in Tibet, just as many young people identify with a certain culture, I am spiritually a Tibetan.
Let’s get this straight: Beijing wants to control reincarnation not because they wish to learn Buddhism, but because they fear it. More specifically, they fear that Tibetans still have faith, that there are still people who don’t obey the Party, that there remains a power outside the Party’s control. Tibetans in exile for over sixty years have established their own parliament, their own democratic system, elections, rule of law. This makes Beijing very uncomfortable: “How can you live so well without the Party’s leadership?” Thus, they devised a grand show: installing a “Dalai” of their own, who would say, “Let’s unite around the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core.” Isn’t this even more absurd than a “Red adaptation” of Journey to the West?
And don’t think their targets are limited to Tibet alone. Their goal is the full package: East Turkestan, Mongolia, Nepal, the entire South and Central Asia region, all wrapped up along the Belt and Road. This is not cultural integration, but a cultural extinction meal deal—“free trial, no returns.”

In April, I helped expose a shocking incident: a rinpoche named Honger Dorje was assassinated while in exile in Vietnam, simply because he refused to attend a CCP-arranged welcome ceremony for the “fake Panchen Lama.” He committed no crime—just a “political error”: refusing to perform in the Party’s “religious show.”
Think about it: it’s like a monk being forced to sing the national anthem at a KTV; if he refuses, he’s labeled “anti-Party, anti-socialism,” and then killed. This case tells us: in the CCP’s eyes, wherever you are, if you don’t follow their script, you are against the Party and a traitor. What they want is never real Buddhism, but a “reformed” one—where karma cannot be preached, only party gratitude; where compassion is forbidden, but obedience is mandatory. They have also established many “Party-loving, patriotic boarding schools,” taking children as young as four or five from their homes to teach “Party language” from childhood. If you think this is talent training, it’s actually an operation to “sever roots.”

Ultimately, what the CCP wants to control is not just people’s bodies, but a nation’s soul. They want a reincarnation system not out of belief, but out of fear. They know that as long as a nation has faith, it will not completely submit. Their aim is to rewrite faith entirely, turning the “Dalai Lama” into a “Party Lama.”
Part 4: 藏人数量不多，但影响力超群 Tibetans May Be Few, But Their Influence Is Huge

The “Land of the Snows”—home to all Tibetans—might be a “clean highland,” but on the map, you’ll see it’s vast. If Tibet were independent, it would rank among the world’s top ten in land area—not a small player. However, only 7 million Tibetans live there, less than half the population of Beijing. But that’s not the main point. The real point: despite their small numbers, Tibetan Buddhism and culture have become an “international spiritual influencer.” The reincarnation system has spread far beyond the plateau—to Nepal, Bhutan, Mongolia, and as far as Taiwan and Central Asia. And with the Tibetan diaspora worldwide, wherever there is a rinpoche, there are followers of Tibetan Buddhism.
这就让中共坐不住了。控制藏区的地盘还不够，它还想通过“定制喇嘛”，包下整个亚洲佛教圈的“代理权”。听上去像是某种“精神加盟连锁店”，其实背后是实打实的政治布局。所以你看，他们不是只想管住藏地三区，而是打算给整个喜马拉雅文化圈的信众们“上户口”。一旦把转世话语权收入囊中，就能像开VPN一样把意识形态一路“出口转内销”，从北京连到加德满都，再跳进不丹、蒙古，甚至是整个南亚。

This makes the CCP even more anxious. Controlling the land is not enough; they want to “custom-make lamas” and monopolize the agency of the entire Asian Buddhist sphere. It sounds like a kind of “spiritual franchise store” but behind it is real political strategy. Thus, it’s not just about controlling the Tibetan regions, it’s about “registering” all believers in the Himalayan cultural zone. Once they seize the discourse power over reincarnation, it’s like exporting ideology through a “VPN,” from Beijing to Kathmandu, Bhutan, Mongolia, and across South Asia.
All this is done under the guise of “spreading the Dharma” but what CCP really does is “build the Party through Buddhism.” Temples become Party outposts, monks deliver Party lectures. A war with no tanks or blood, but one being waged in the realm of faith, has already begun.
Part 5: 中共发动一场“信仰战争” CCP Wages a “War of Faith”
中共的野心不是“把西藏管好”这么简单。他们想要的是整个内亚，甚至是：挑战美国、换掉自由世界、当上“全球思想政委”。可想当全球老大，不能光靠建高铁和芯片。你得有点“主流价值观的说服力”才行。就像你想做CEO，人家不光看你财务报表，还看你会不会搞企业文化。但中共在这方面真有点“技术短板”。西方的核心价值观——自由、民主、人权——都是从基督教传统里长出来的。西方人相信人权高于国家，而中共这套逻辑是“国家大于一切，发展大于一切”。所以它打不进西方教会、影响不了梵蒂冈，神父和牧师也不买它的账。

The CCP’s ambition is not just “proper administration of Tibet.” They seek the whole of Inner Asia, even to: challenge America, replace the free world, and become the “global commissar of thought.” To become world leader, it’s not enough to build high-speed rails and semiconductors—you need persuasive “mainstream values.” Just as CEOs are judged not just by financials but also by corporate culture. On this, the CCP is notably weak. Western values—freedom, democracy, human rights—are rooted in Christianity: people believe in human rights above all. The CCP’s logic, on the other hand, is “the state above all, development above all.” Hence, they can’t penetrate Western churches nor influence the Vatican; priests are not buying what they sell.
So what then? They turn to Tibetan Buddhism—right on their doorstep, and already a popular “religious IP.” The Panchen Lama was abducted and replaced with a “Party-selected” political monk. The next step? To appoint a “customized” Dalai Lama. Just as the current “Han Panchen” comes from Communist Party families, once a successor is found born inside China, they can “enroll him in the Party” and train him as a “loyal and compassionate” new-era lama. Compassion equals obedience, faith equals submission— this is their version of Buddhism. In short: the CCP seeks a “Beijing-sanctioned, globally applicable” Buddhist empire—an “ersatz compassion, real brainwashing” Eastern Vatican. It sounds like dark humor, but they may well be serious.
目前的国际局势，北京每天和俄罗斯 伊朗眉来眼去，不过这个计划在伊斯兰世界和东正教那边水土不服。跟俄罗斯聊佛教，尴尬；跟伊朗谈宗教自由，更尴尬。新疆的“再教育营”已经把中共在穆斯林世界的名声搞臭了。
于是，中共意识到，它得“自创一种可控的信仰”。那就用藏传佛教转世制度动刀吧，把轮回搞成“实名制”、把活佛变成“党代表”。一套“政治佛教”正在路上，看起来是慈悲为怀，实际上灌输的全是忠诚指标。说实话，如果国际社会还在观望、吃瓜，我们很可能会见证历史：第一个“为极权服务的宗教系统”将由中共精心打造，强势上线。
Given the international situation, Beijing is cozying up to Russia and Iran, but this plan goes nowhere in the Islamic and Orthodox worlds: talking Buddhism with Russia is awkward; religious freedom with Iran, even more so. The “re-education camps” in Xinjiang have ruined China’s reputation in the Muslim world. So, realizing their need for a “controllable faith,” they use the reincarnation system as the knife: turn rebirth into a “real-name system,” lamas into Party delegates, and launch a new “political Buddhism.” It looks compassionate but is actually a loyalty indoctrination machine. If the world keeps watching passively, we might witness history: the first religious system purpose-built to serve autocracy—proudly made by the CCP.
Part 6: 印度——西域佛国故土，也是法业广弘之地 India—Homeland of Buddhism and Refuge for Dharma
我这两年，跑了不少藏人集会——为班禅祈福、为达赖抗议、为藏语请愿、为图博 Tibet 正名。虽然这些事在别人看来像是隔空喊话，但我知道，我们正在对抗的是一个要重塑整个亚洲精神地图的政权。中共的剧本写得很长。他们在藏地修户户通、装监控、建寄宿制学校，外加“一带一路”沿线开满“文化影响力门店”，简直是“用国家机器做地摊佛教生意”。他们不是搞慈善，是搞输出——输出他们版本的信仰，他们的定义的忠诚。
那谁能挡住这股“信仰招安”？
In the past two years, I’ve attended many Tibetan gatherings—praying for the Panchen Lama, protesting for the Dalai Lama, petitioning for the Tibetan language, advocating for the name “Tibet.” To others, it may look like shouting into the void, but I know we are opposing a regime that seeks to remap the spiritual landscape of all Asia. The CCP’s plan is long. They build roads, install surveillance, run boarding schools, and open “cultural influence stores” along the Belt and Road—“using the state to run a street Buddhism business.” It’s not charity; it’s export—exporting their version of faith and loyalty.
So who can block this “faith-indoctrination” push?
印度。为啥是印度？因为它不仅地缘靠得近，还是佛教的源头。佛陀不是在北京悟道，是在菩提伽耶开悟的。印度天生就拥有“佛法原厂设置”的权威。而且印度还是个民主国家，有言论自由、宗教自由，还有十多万藏人长期在这里避难。达赖喇嘛已经在印度住了60多年，藏人流亡政府在这扎了根，搞民主、开会议、投票投司政——连美国人看了都得点个赞。但今天，挑战已经不是“藏人在哪里避难”那么简单，而是中共正试图打造一个覆盖南亚、控制意识形态的“假佛教网”。用“转世正名”、用伪班禅铺路，打通尼泊尔、不丹、蒙古、锡金，最后把整个南亚变成“红色精神后花园”。
India. Why India? Not only is it nearby, it is also the source of Buddhism. The Buddha attained enlightenment not in Beijing but in Bodh Gaya. India possesses the original “Buddhist settings.” Moreover, as a democracy, India enjoys freedom of speech and religion, and has sheltered more than 100,000 Tibetans for decades. The Dalai Lama has lived in India for over 60 years, the Tibetan exile government has taken root, held elections, passed laws—even America might give a thumbs up. But now, the challenge is not just “where can Tibetans seek refuge” but that the CCP is trying to build a “fake Buddhist network” across South Asia, using reincarnation and phony lamas to link Nepal, Bhutan, Mongolia, Sikkim, turning all of South Asia into a “red spiritual backyard.”
India cannot hesitate any longer. As the birthplace of Buddhism, it is time to stand up and say, “Cut the act—the real spiritual center is here, not Beijing.” India need not fake being an “Eastern Vatican”—it already is:
The birthplace of the Buddha
The cradle of the Dharma
The asylum for Tibetan exiles
A symbol of non-violence, tolerance, and freedom
印度不能再犹豫了，作为佛教的原产地，是时候站出来说一句：“别搞笑了，真正的精神中心不在北京，在我这里。” 印度无需冒充什么“东方梵蒂冈”，它本来就是——

Faith is not a tool to control people, but a torch to light the fires of freedom. This is a contest of karma and resolve—
Let’s stand together with Tibetans, with India, raise our voices for faith, guard the future.
